Construction begins on three new padel courts at The Nest
The Nest is set to enhance its facilities this spring as construction work begins on three brand-new padel courts.
This exciting development will bring a rapidly growing sport to the site, offering new opportunities for visitors, existing Community Sports Foundation participants, and the wider community. Padel at The Nest will focus on offering dedicated sessions that tackle reducing isolation, support mental wellbeing, promote physical activity, and off a safe, inspiring space for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Access changes during the build
From 9th March, there will be no car park beyond the mini roundabout by the main entrance for the duration of the build. This includes both the area directly in front of Challenge Woods (the site where the courts are to be built) and to the left of Challenge Woods, behind the Main Hub (where the contractor’s compound will be housed). Additional parking will be made available near the main entrance of the site, when required.
Challenge Woods temporarily closed
Access to Challenge Woods will be restricted for the first couple of weeks of the build, whilst a new entrance is created. If you already have a birthday party booked in Challenge Woods please be reassured that this will still proceed, and the team will ensure safe access to the woods. However, no further bookings will be taken until the build has been completed. If you have any concerns regarding an existing booking, please don’t hesitate to contact The Nest team on 01603 984000 or [email protected].

The Nest is asking all visitors to the site to take extra care near fenced-off areas. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to talk to one of the team during a visit, call 01603 984000 or email, [email protected].
