Train, play and stay at The Nest.

Our football tour packages provide an opportunity for grassroot or youth teams to enjoy a high-quality football residential break.

Students will stay at the Foundation’s state-of-the-art sports facility, The Nest, located on the outskirts of the beautiful and historic city of Norwich. Players can enjoy the site’s grass and 3G pitches, superb on-site accommodation and catering, while creating bonds and building teamwork – invaluable for the season ahead.

Stay at The Nest

Pitches

Players will have access to The Nest’s superb seven grass football pitches of varying sizes or the 3G floodlit pitch.

All training and pitch activities are to be led by the group’s own coaches. For an additional fee, we can however arrange for coaching sessions to be led by the Foundation’s FA qualified coaches. These will be a comprehensive mix of technical, tactical and physical sessions with strengthening and conditioning equipment provided.

Depending on the ages and visit dates of the touring group, fixtures against local sides or one of the Foundation’s development squads can be arranged.

Facilities

At the heart of the site, is the new Hub building.

Finished in 2021, the 1,100m2 space includes the Inspire studio, café, changing rooms and more. A unique space for meetings, workshops or events – or perhaps just as a warm and welcoming place to enjoy a drink or bite to eat with teammates – the Hub is central to everything that goes on at The Nest.

Located opposite The Hub, The Clubhouse is the perfect focal point for visiting groups to relax and recharge during their stay with us.

The building is equipped with table tennis, pool and table football, as well as flat screens and PS5s.

Catering

Players will receive a full-board provision during their time at The Nest, with at least two hot meals served a day.

On-site catering means all meals are freshly prepared in our kitchen, and served in our canteen.

A range of cuisines and menus can be designed according to the group’s needs. We recommend healthy meals to ensure players are fully prepared for the physical demands of the experience.

Accommodation

A total of 70 players can sleep on site at any one time in our five bespoke bunk boxes. A private party leader room is available in four of the boxes. Each bed includes a personal lamp, charging point and under-the-bed storage.

All contain WC facilities, with seven shower cubicles and four unisex toilets located in the main clubhouse.

In the summer, six deluxe bell tents increase capacity for an additional 30 guests.

On-site entertainment

Players will have access to the main buildings throughout their stay, which features social, play & relax spaces. The play lounge contains a table tennis table, pool table and a computer game area complete with flat-screen TVs and Playstation 5s.

For quizzes or movie nights, groups can use our large screens. Players will be able to purchase snacks and refreshments from the Hub cafe throughout the day.

For younger visitors, our Challenge Woods adventure playground offers 330m2 of outdoor play, built into the surrounding trees and woodland. It’s equipped with walkways, ladders, ropes, climbing wall, slide, swing, zip lines.

Excursions

The Nest is perfectly positioned for trips into the historic city of Norwich and the beautiful North Norfolk countryside and coastline.

Possible excursions include Norwich City centre (Norwich Cathedral & Norwich Castle), Norfolk’s beaches, Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, The Broads – and of course, the home of Norwich City Football Club, Carrow Road for either a match or ground tour.
