The Nest is proud to be supporting Broadland and South Norfolk’s Christmas Toy Donation Appeal this festive season — helping to bring joy, hope, and a sense of community to families facing hardship.

From now until Saturday 30th November, The Nest will act as a collection centre, with donations being accepted at The Store.

The Christmas Toy Donation Appeal aims to ensure that every child can experience the magic of Christmas, regardless of their circumstances. By collecting new, unwrapped toys at designated venues across the region, the appeal supports families in need while encouraging the community to come together in generosity and kindness.

How you can help

If you’d like to donate, please bring your new, unopened gifts to The Store at The Nest by 30th November. All donations will be distributed to local families ahead of Christmas.

We welcome donations of:

  • Toys

  • Books

  • Toiletries

  • Stationery

  • Gift vouchers

Please note that all presents should be new, unused, and unwrapped.

We are unable to accept:

  • Used or second-hand items

  • Damaged, dirty, or incomplete toys

  • Items with offensive or inappropriate content

  • Food, perishable goods, or alcohol

If a gift arrives wrapped, we’ll need to unwrap it to check its contents before donation.

Toy ideas and suggestions

For inspiration and gift ideas (especially for teenagers aged 11–18, where donations are often low), please visit the Broadland and South Norfolk Council website.

Together, we can make sure no child misses out on the joy of Christmas morning.
