New ‘Movement Foundations’ Programme Launches in The Box

New ‘Movement Foundations’ programme launches in The Box to help people start strength training with confidence

The Nest is launching a new small‑group strength‑training programme designed specifically for beginners, providing a supportive and accessible introduction to strength training outside a traditional gym environment.

Movement Foundations, created and delivered by Vicki Hall, Movement and Strength Coach, is designed for individuals who want to start exercising but feel unsure where to begin, lack confidence in gym settings, or are returning after time away from training.

Delivered in The Box, The Nest’s purpose built health and wellbeing facility, the programme focuses on building confidence, teaching fundamental movement patterns, and helping participants understand how to train safely and effectively.

“Many people don’t avoid exercise because they don’t want to, they just don’t know where to start” said Vicki. “Movement Foundations has been created to remove that barrier and give people a clam, supportive place to begin.”

Training in The Box

The Box provides an ideal setting for the programme, offering a welcoming, non-gym environment that supports individuals at all stages of their fitness journey.

Participants will be guided through structured sessions that focus on strength, control, and confidence, alongside simple education around progression, consistency, and sustainable habits. The programme also introduces practical, easy-to-understand nutrition guidance, helping participants build habits that support their training, energy levels, and overall wellbeing without overwhelm.

ADHD informed sessions

ADHD-informed sessions are also available within Movement Foundations, supported by ADHD Norfolk. These sessions offer a calmer, more structured approach for those who may feel overwhelmed in traditional environments or find it difficult to stay consistent, while remaining inclusive and accessible to anyone who would benefit from this style of coaching.

The programme will begin with a series of free taster sessions, giving individuals the opportunity to experience the approach before committing to a longer-term programmes.

Who is Movement Foundations for?

Movement Foundations is particularly suited to:

  • those new to strength training
  • individuals lacking confidence in gym environments
  • individuals returning to exercise after a break
  • anyone looking for a supportive and structured starting point or a new approach to their training
  • those who prefer a calmer, more structured, ADHD-friendly approach

“This isn’t about intense workouts or quick unsustainable results”, Vicki added. “It’s about helping people feel capable, confident, and supported as they build strength in a way that works for them.”
