A partnership with groundworks and civil engineering contractor MB Plant & Civils has led to the transformation of the entrance to The Nest.

Recent visitors will have noticed the change, which also included the realignment of the main road, and removal of the site’s original entrance.

Additional work has featured the installation of road markings to help guide traffic safely around The Nest.

Jackie Thornton, Head of Development at the Community Sports Foundation:

“We are delighted that MB Plant & Civils have become one of our newest partners. The team did a great job completing the highways works and creating our fantastic new entrance to The Nest, during which time they were able to see first-hand the impact of the facilities on the local community.

“Their support will enable us to continue to provide high quality facilities for many of the Foundation’s charitable programmes. “

Matthew Body, Director of MB Plant & Civils said:

“As someone who was born and raised in Norwich, I strongly believe in our community and what it represents. Seeing the growth of the Community Sports Foundation and The Nest over recent years, and whilst working at The Nest during its construction, I have noticed first-hand the varied members of our communities that they support, and the vision that the amazing team were creating here and felt that I could help in some way.

“Each day seeing so many different members of the community arrive to participate in all manner of activities, you could tell that this place was really having an impact on their lives. That’s why we decided to become a partner and pledge our support to the Community Sports Foundation and The Nest, to help continue the expansion of their facilities and support they offer.

“This is something I personally feel very proud to be a small part of and we look forward to helping in any way possible.”
