Two international football groups enjoy stay at The Nest

Girls from Stamullen FC in Ireland and boys from FC Malaga City in Spain make site their home for extended weekend.

Two touring groups from afar made The Nest their base for a football stay in England.

Girls from Stamullen FC in Co. Meath in Ireland, and boys from academy side FC Malaga City in Spain made Foundation’s hub their home for an extended stay.

Staying in bunk boxes, both groups enjoyed fixtures, use of the pitches for training, and excursions into the city of Norwich and to Carrow Road.

The girls from Ireland played a fixture against the Community Sports Foundation’s Girls ADP on the Saturday, with FC Malaga City rounding off their trip with a morning fixture on the Monday against the Foundation’s Football & Education side (see full match footage here!).

The group organiser from Stamullen FC said:

“The staff at The Nest just couldn’t do enough for us, they welcomed us with open arms and had every detail for the weekend catered for.

“The facilities for the girls were spotless, there was so much for girls to do when they had a bit of down time: play pool, table tennis, PlayStation – they had so much fun, and organising a trip off site was no trouble.

“Our girls and coaches had a great experience, they didn’t want the weekend to end and we all look forward to coming back next year.”
