New path to Challenge Woods now complete

Challenge Woods reopens thanks to new path

The Nest is proud to announce the completion of its brand-new path to Challenge Woods, an exciting development that not only enhances accessibility across the site but continues the spirit of collaboration.

Created to accommodate access around the construction of three new Padel courts the new path provides a safe, durable and welcoming route between The Hub and the adventure playground.

Kick-started thanks to the donation of aggregate from Breedon, the completion of the project was realised due to the expertise and support of NCL Contractors. Working closely with The Nest team, NCL have ensured the path not only meets the practical needs of visitors to Challenge Woods but also enhances the overall experience of visitors to the site.

“This path represents more than a physical upgrade,” said Amber Coe, Head of Places at the Community Sports Foundation. “It reflects the power of partnership, community support, and a shared investment in creating spaces that people can enjoy for years to come.”

The collaboration with NCL however extends beyond the new path. NCL Contractors have also committed to supporting the ongoing maintenance of Challenge Woods, reinforcing a partnership that will help preserve this much-loved corner of The Nest. Their continued involvement will ensure the woodland playground remains accessible and safe for visitors to enjoy year-round.

The Community Sports Foundation and The Nest would like to extend its sincere thanks to NCL Contractors and all other contributors involved in the project. Their support exemplifies the collaborative ethos that continues to drive the latest phase of development across the site.

With the path now complete, The Nest is delighted to welcome everyone back to Challenge Woods and include it, once again, in the weekday Play & Eat offer.
