New pathway to Challenge Woods

New pathway to Challenge Woods set to open soon

The Nest is delighted to announce a generous donation from leading construction materials group Breedon, who have supplied 25 tonnes Type-2 aggregate for the sub-base of a brand-new pathway connecting the main Hub to Challenge Wood’s new entrance.

This significant contribution marks an exciting milestone in the latest development of the site, helping to bring to life a safe and accessible route to the adventure playground for children, young people and their carers.

Improving access for all

Once complete, with further assistance from NCL Contractors, the pathway will offer a seamless link between The Hub and the wooded play area around the site’s latest expansion, the construction of three new Padel courts.

With Challenge Woods being temporarily closed over the last couple of weeks, the donation by Breedon has been instrumental in establishing the new access route. This generous donation ensures a strong and long-lasting based that will support years of use.

“We’re incredible grateful to Breedon for their support on this project. This is a great example of how partnership and collaboration can create meaningful social impact. With their help we’ve been able to establish safe access to Challenge Woods around our Padel development that will benefit the community for years to come.”

Jackie Thornton, Director of Strategy and Development, Norwich City Community Sports Foundation

The pathway will be completed in the upcoming weeks and we look forward to reopening Challenge Woods for general bookings, birthday parties as well as our regular programme, Play and Eat that runs every Monday – Friday from 4pm.
